Talent acquisition: alliance with Uruguay’s River Plate On Monday, December 16th the Club formalized an agreement with the Uruguayan institution, in the presence of Rodolfo D’Onofrio.

In the presence of Rodolfo D’Onofrio and authorities of Uruguay’s River Plate, on Monday, December 16th, the international strategic alliance between the two clubs, which share methodology and youth talent acquisition. Ignacio Villaroel (Secretary), Ignacio Amui (Treasurer), Santiago Poblet (Public Relations), Eduardo Barrionuevo (Executive Committee and Football Committee member), Rodrigo Daskal (River Museum), Gonzalo Mayo (Attorney) and Matías Baretta (Brand Manager) were also present.

After walking around the Club’s facilities, the playing field and the River Museum (with the recently inaugurated sector alluding to the 2018 CONMEBOL Libertadores Cup), the Uruguayan club’s authorities met with D’Onofrio in the presidential office and then, the signing of the agreement and the jersey exchange took place in the meeting room.

On behalf of the Uruguayan team, Willie Tucci (President), César Road (Executive), Federico Gutiérrez (Marketing Manager), Pablo Aguirre (History and Statistics) and Eduardo Bebekián (Attorney).

El Millionario does scouting in Uruguay, a country which the Club considers very important for socio-cultural integration, apart from the long history that exists between Uruguayan football players and the Club from Nuñez.

Everything related to youth talent acquisition will be carried out with Uruguay’s River Plate until the young people turn 18 and they may be observed by FIFA in the Argentine tournament. Similarly, River will maintain the institutional and sporting relationships with all Uruguayan clubs.
